Bay and Bow Windows

Bay and bow windows open your room creating a feeling of space and light. With the additional side windows, you have more flexibility for opening windows and creating better airflow.

Whether you are thinking of replacing windows in an existing bay or bow or opening up your space with a new bay window, you’ve come to the right place. We’ll help you make the most of your space with the right choice of windows for your bay.

uPVC Bay Windows

White uPVC Bay windows have long been the most popular choice for windows in the Northampton area. uPVC windows are affordable and easy to maintain. They are also durable and can withstand extreme weather conditions.

uPVC Bay windows are incredibly versatile. Choose windows in any style or configuration and for further personalisation, choose a colour or woodgrain finish to make your home stand out.

Sliding Sash Bay Windows

Modern homes are more likely to have the pillars of a bay window formed from the same material as the windows and are more likely to be casement windows.

Stone pillars are commonly found on the bays of older houses, and the style is well-suited to vertical sliding sash windows. Sash windows are quite different from casement windows in the way they look and the way they open but you can choose casement windows if you prefer a modern style.

Bow or Bay?

What’s the difference between bay and bow windows?

A bay window is made up of two side sections and a larger picture window in the middle. The side windows are usually set at 90 or 135 degrees with the front elevation being straight creating a three-sided shape. A bow window is made up of several windows placed equally along the bow.

Bay and bow windows open your room up to create a feeling of space and airiness. You can enhance this effect with slim-framed windows to maximise your glazing area and flood your home with natural light.

Casement Windows for Classic Style

Casement windows are one of the most popular styles of windows, thanks to their flexibility, energy efficiency, and classic look. Casement windows are hinged on one side, which could be the top or bottom, and open outward. This allows for maximum ventilation and views, making them a great option for any room in your home.

They suit almost any home and are available in aluminium and uPVC.

Flush Windows that Look Like Timber

Flush windows look great with any house style, but they are particularly popular in traditional residences. Flush sash window profiles are a great alternative to wooden windows and doors. The profile looks similar to that of timber so is sympathetic to historic styles while also incorporating modern technology.

Flush windows are more popular in uPVC but recently aluminium window manufacturers have also come up with great alternatives to timber.
