Aluminium and uPVC Casement Windows

Casement Windows for Elegant Simplicity

Casement windows are one of the most popular styles of windows, thanks to their flexibility, energy efficiency, and classic look. Casement windows are hinged on one side, which could be the top or bottom, and open outward. This allows for maximum ventilation and views, making them a great option for any room in your home.

Casement windows are characterised by the hinging on one side. Most often they are hinged on the side to open like a door but can also be top hinged and even bottom hinged.

    uPVC Casement Windows

White uPVC casement windows have long been the most popular choice for windows in the Northampton area. uPVC windows are affordable and easy to maintain. They are also durable and can withstand extreme weather conditions.

uPVC casement windows are incredibly versatile. Choose windows in any style or configuration and for further personalisation, choose a colour or woodgrain finish to make your home stand out.

    Aluminium Casement Windows

Aluminium windows are becoming an increasingly popular choice for windows in the Northampton area. Aluminium casement windows are strong and durable, and they can withstand even the harshest weather conditions. They are also a great choice for homes with a modern style. Aluminium windows are a bit more expensive than uPVC windows, but they are worth the investment when you factor in how long they last.

The strength of aluminium allows for slimmer window frames that can hold larger expanses of glass. This means that aluminium windows can let in more natural light, making your home feel brighter and more open.

    Window Choices

There are two major choices to make when considering windows for your home. The material – aluminium or uPVC, and the Glazing – double-glazing or triple-glazing. Both affect the performance and the price. We love all of the options so will offer unbiased advice.

    Aluminium or uPVC?
When compared to aluminium windows, uPVC windows come out on top in terms of cost and are cheaper than aluminium. You also have more variety for quality standards with uPVC. You can buy extremely cheap windows but they are rarely worth it in the long term. Stretching the budget a bit could prove well worth it when build quality and finish are taken into account regardless of which material you choose.
    Double Glazed or Triple Glazed?
Most windows in the UK are double-glazed. This is because, with modern windows, you can exceed the government guidelines and achieve a warm home without the additional expense of triple glazing. However, if you want the best possible energy efficiency, our triple glazing will achieve U-Values of 0.9 W(2K), well below the 1.8 set by the government.
